Justin Lee Palmer, 44, of Jonesboro, Arkansas was arrested after authorities found evidence that he had been going online and pretending to be a 15-year-old girl, coaching young girls to be anorexic. He also encouraged them to perform humiliating acts of self torture on camera, for which he was charged with production of child pornography by the United States Attorney’s Office Eastern District of Arkansas.
Palmer, represented by Assistant Federal Defender Attorney Chris Tarver, originally pled guilty on August 4, 2023. He has been in federal pre-trial detention since his arrest in October 2020. He was sentenced in July 2024 to the maximum of 360 months (30 years) in federal prison without the possibility of parole on a production of child pornography charge.
Authorities learned about Palmer’s predatory activities in 2020 while conducting an investigation into the sexual abuse of a 9-year-old girl which was filmed and distributed to users on KIK messenger.
The FBI identified Palmer as the person behind username “SkipDinnerGetMeThin,” who had received the video of the abuse. Further investigation revealed that “SkipDinnerGetMeThin” was posing as a teenaged girl, coaching teen and preteen girls to be anorexic.
“Palmer instructed girls to perform a variety of humiliating and harmful acts while they were naked so that they would feel disgusted with themselves and be motivated to lose weight,” according to Federal officials. Investigators found conversations on Palmer’s phone where he asked underage victims for their weight, had them take photos and videos of themselves naked, and called them pigs.
Palmer’s phone contained nearly 100 images and videos of one 13-year-old girl, nearly two thirds of which were sexual in nature. The middle schooler told Palmer she was 5 ft 1 in tall, weighed 93 pounds, and had a goal weight of 75 pounds.
He told the girls to “drink toilet water, cut into their skin, urinate into a bottle and drink it, masturbate with household objects, and cover their skin in shameful phrases about their weight,” and film it for him, according to the US Attorney’s Office.
“A vile, disgusting, reprobate has finally received his due,” U.S. Attorney Jonathan D. Ross said, calling the abuse “calculated and cruel.”
“Palmer’s predations went far beyond the typical scope of production [of child pornography] cases,” Ross said in a sentencing memo.
“The humiliation, self-hatred, and physical pain these victims, known and unknown, suffered as a result of Palmer’s lies and manipulation was, and likely continues to be, undoubtedly profound,” Ross said.
In addition to the maximum 30-year prison term, Palmer will also be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, and pay restitution of $15,404.79. He will be eligible for release in 2043, when he is 74. The Federal Bureau of Prisons has not yet published any booking photographs of Palmer.
Monsters are real. Justin Lee Palmer is proof of this. This demon will spend thirty years in a concrete box the size of a handicapped bathroom stall 23 hours a day. This also speaks volumes about the unhealthy influence of social media, and children's brains under the age of 21 are not developed. I am not blaming the victims. Parents need to know what their children are doing online.
