Yes, they'll be released along with the rest of the evidence after we've finished the documentary and have all the files organized.
I hope you're not expecting dozens of interrogations - there are about two dozen total that exist at all, and we've acquired just over a dozen, including the five that are well known.
Maybe a stupid question but is there a petition we could start signing? I’m not familiar with all the legality involved but I know with the Delphi case petitions were signed with numerous family, friends, and Facebook groups. Strength in numbers.
Unfortunately a petition would be unlikely to have much of an impact. The Delphi files were unsealed by a Superior Court Judge. In this case, a FOIA lawsuit would be the effective route, assuming a judge was convinced they should be released.
I would love to subscribe but for some reason my Wisely debit card isn't accepted. Haven't been able to find a way around this. Any chance of adding a pay through PayPal option in the future? I've been dying to check out your full content 😩
Unfortunately that's up to the billing provider, and we don't have a way to add it ourselves. I can tell you that this is a highly requested feature but there have been no updates to creators - Stripe is it, for now, even though there are entire countries that Stripe can't operate in.
I hope they’ll eventually release them all. Wasn’t there some released because Maureen Callahan actually did take it to court? Could there be some kind of time limit? If, 15 years would be after 2 years and 20 after 7 years.
It surprises me that they released the confession of the murder of Samantha, but have not released what all actually happened to Lorraine. It must be really bad. Jolene Goeden said it was the worst she’d heard, so it must have been even worse than what happened to Samantha. And the FBI files clearly state that all of the items he brought with him (the water, the stove, etc.) were used in the rape and murder.
According to the court documents, those recordings have already been shared with the Currier family, so it's unclear who they think they're protecting by not releasing them.
It's unclear why it wasn't released. It's worth noting that based on the docket information, it doesn't look like Maureen Callahan filed a FOIA lawsuit, she filed a motion to intervene in the United States vs Keyes to unseal the court records.
These are legally very different things. The Freedom of Information Act makes very few exceptions for what can be withheld from the public by a public agency like the FBI; courts have more discretion in regards to court records.
So are the freedom of information documents always from law enforcement? No court documents in them or FBI info? Is it the FBI, or a court, that has sealed the ”stream of consciousness” letter? Or both?
Me neither, sorry if I came across like that. I do think it’s really important that the families that are victims too aren’t re-victimized. It’s a certainly a dilemma in my mind too.

We respect your opinion but respectfully disagree. The public interest supercedes the families - what if the information helps identify other victims and put other victims to rest? Their families deserve closure, too.
We have an article in the works related to Keyes and the psychology of serial killers. Not 100% sure when it will be finished - soon, though - but we hope it will be illuminating. It touches on some what you mention here, indirectly. Not just through Keyes but comparing multiple serial killers in regards to how their influences shape their persona.
Yes, I understand that. If it helps identify other victims, that's important, too. It's a complex topic. My thinking is, if he simply talks more about Samantha Koenig or the Curriers, for example, such as more gruesome details only about them, then I don't know if the public has to know that. If there are family members of identified victims who suppress the release, I think that's understandable. But if there is information that helps identify others, that's another issue. I was just expressing my feelings, not intending to disagree or argue. It's a complex issue.
It's definitely a complex issue, and it's okay to disagree! We encourage people to tell us if they think we're wrong... we don't promise to agree, but we know that no one has perfect knowledge.

Hello,
Is it possible to allow us to listen to the dozen of interrogations you’ve acquired sans the 5 the FBI released or that are on YouTube? Thanks.

Totally dependant on the FBI unless a judge intercedes and forces their hand.

Could they have somehow sealed that one with the most painful details totally…?

Thanks for clearing things up!
I understand what you mean, but those details help with psychological profiling too.

We give people a pretty wide berth to speak their mind here but we don't allow people to be abusive or disparage other subscribers.
Always appreciate the honesty and bluntness of Sag!
And hope your weekend is good, too. 🎉
